First Things First...

I have to get my house organized. First the living room floor will be sanded and refinished back to its Oak self. Then we will begin, as time and money permits, with the upstairs... a loft area. Problem is, of course,Toyworld is there. Waiting. So I will have to clean it up, pack it up or haul it away for the construction period...and that requires HELP. If Doofie comes next semester to visit I will engage him in the task, if not, well there is always FOUR GUYS AND A BIG TRUCK.

Hello Again..

Well, I am back in reality. James has passed on and now I have to get back to some business. The Toyworld must move on. It is a goal, an objective. It has to come to being. and it will... soon.

How I decided on this name...

Years ago--in the midst of my yard sale and auction-flea market frenzy, I came upon a small handmade stitched "sampler" that proclaimed "A friendly House, by the side of the Road" and it had a small hand stitched house upon it... Thats it! I thought.. One day I will have a shop, and sell my wares and display my art, and showcase all my precious collections of bits and bobs and toys. So this is it, a prelude to a dream. A friendly House..
